By providing this service, the ITC has the capability to provide connection via intranet networks between two or more points that are requested by the customer.

Leased Line

In this method of connection, the client can use Afranet’s dedicated bandwidth via TCI’s (Telecommunication Company of IRAN) copper infrastructure and a modem.


Wireless Connection

You can get connected to the internet via a wireless modem and enjoy a dedicated bandwidth. After the customers request for the wireless service set up, since there is need for point to point line of sight connection, the type of modem required for the connection and other aspects of the connection will be instructed to the customer by Afranet’s Sales Department. With the use of proper modems, it is possible to provide services with more that 10 Mbps bandwidth.

Intranet Service

With the establishment of a national IP infrastructure across the county, expansion to the center of provinces and the possibility for all cities to connect to this network via provincial accessibility networks (ATM, TDM), the ITC (Information Technology Company of Iran) provides Intranet services to its clients.

In this service, private IP addresses in the country are uniquely organized and allocated by the ITC. By connecting (via the required bandwidth) to this network, accessibility to all nodes and hosts in the country (including all valid internet addresses in the county and private addresses that connect to this network) become available.

In this method, by requesting the required infrastructure from your city’s telecommunication center and acquiring a modem, your connection can be established.


Private virtual networks (VPN/MPLS L3) service

By providing this service, the ITC (Information Technology Company of Iran) has the capability to provide connection via intranet networks between two or more points that are requested by the customer.

By connecting the two ends of this connection to network switches and computers, the customer can create a Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) between two points.

This connection uses the OSI model in layer 3 and the TCP/IP protocol in the network layer.

The benefits MPLS are:
  1. Multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) was invented to solve the problem of bridging multiple disparate protocols such as Frame Relay, ATM and Ethernet.
  2. Fundamentally, MPLS employs an encapsulation technique providing internetworking between different technologies, coupled with signaling protocols necessary to discover, configure and manage connectivity.
  3. In addition to signaling protocols, MPLS uses resiliency protocols, such as Fast Re-route and Bi-directional Fault Detection, to determine failures and in turn switching to standby links.
  4. MPLS combines the multi-service and traffic management capabilities of ATM with the scalability of packet networks to create a best-of-breed service provider network. The number of connection points (peers) in IP-MPLS connections, range from several to several hundred points.

In a VPN/MPLS connection it is assumed that Full Mesh topology is used between the client’s connection points, therefore in this topology all points can connect to each other with out the need for a central routing system.

In this method, by requesting the required infrastructure from your city’s telecommunication center and acquiring a modem, your connection can be established.


Leased Line Connection

In this method of connection, the client can use Afranet’s dedicated bandwidth via TCI’s (Telecommunication Company of IRAN) copper infrastructure and a modem. If the telecommunication infrastructure is adequate, then this method of service is a very convenient way to access broadband services.

To access this service, after the client’s request for a leased line connection, Afranet's personnel determine whether such a connection for the client is possible and if so, Afranet will negotiate with TCI so that connection to the client can be established.
